Directions to the Drop Zone

  • From the Beyers Naude bridge on the N1 highway (Western Bypass)head south on the N1, towards Bloemfontein
  • 20km from Beyers Naude, follow the N12 to Kimberley and Potchefstroom
  • Cross over one set of traffic lights
  • Cross over a large 4-way stop intersection (the cross road is the R28)
  • 60km from Beyers Naude, just after the Libanon Mine turn off, take the Carletonville turn-off (R501) to the right (turn off the N12)
  • Continue for approximately 20km to the 4-way stop intersection. There is a fountain on the left, and the Carletonville Town emblem on the opposite right corner. Proceed straight over this intersection
  • About 1km further on, proceed straight over another 4-way stop intersection (the cross road is the R500)
  • Take the next turn to the right, into Dolomite Street
  • Take the first left, after about 300m, into Coronation Street
  • After about 2,3km, there will be another 4-way stop intersection. Proceed straight over this intersection.
  • Follow the left fork as the road splits, into Grundling Street
  • Proceed for about 1km to the stop street. There will be an open field in front of you.
  • Turn left into Rautenbach Street
  • As this street turns 90 degrees to the left, take the dirt road to the right. There is a big sign!
  • After about 1,2km on the dirt road, you will see the hangars and the club's buildings off to the left.
  • You will now see people having loads and loads of fun.
  • You are at Johannesburg Skydiving Club. Welcome!!!
